Usui Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique used to promote physical, mental and spiritual wellness.  Reiki is a therapy that allows the practitioner deliver energy through the hands.  

Reiki Healing sessions aid with balancing the flow of one’s energy. It assists with removing blocks in a similar way to acupuncture by improving the flow of energy around the body. 

Reiki treats the body, mind and spirit and stimulates feelings of peace, relaxation, balance the physical body and remove pain as well remove emotional blockages.  Reiki treats the whole person not just the symptoms and the flow of energy goes where it is most needed.   

The intended result of receiving energy therapy is a balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. 

Reiki Sessions

Reiki Sessions are about 60-90 minutes in length.  The Reiki Practitioner attuned to Reiki energy uses specific hand positions/locations where the Practitioner places their hands 1-6 inches above the client’s body.  During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed while reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair.  I will place my hands in key positions and send energy through your field. As the session progresses, you will probably go into a deep state of relaxation. Although many sessions are silent with minimal talking, you are free at any time during the session to discuss what is happening or what you are feeling. If for whatever reason, you feel uncomfortable, please bring that to my attention.    

After the session, you may experience a decrease in stress and anxiety and heightened feelings of peace.  

As part of the process, some people may experience a temporary increase in symptoms or other discomfort while toxins are being released.  When this takes place, it is very short-term and most people report feeling better than ever afterward.  You will be encouraged to drink plenty of water and provided with grounding techniques to increase your clearing and alignment.
